Martinsville, Virginia (March 2019) – ValleyStar Credit Union will host its 24th annual fundraising golf tournament on Thursday, May 16 at Chatmoss Country Club in Martinsville, Virginia. The funds raised from this year’s tournament benefit Carilion Children’s, Southwest Virginia’s local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Participants will enjoy golf on a beautiful course along with lunch, drinks, and an array of prize opportunities. Both 8:00 am and 1:00 pm tee times are available as well as sponsorship opportunities.

All of the funds raised from ValleyStar’s tournament will remain local and support the purchase of lifesaving medical equipment and services at Carilion Children’s located in Roanoke, Virginia. A designated Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, this facility is southwest Virginia’s only dedicated hospital for children and adolescents. Each year, the hospital treats more than 40,000 children from 40 counties in Virginia and neighboring states.
