Martinsville, Virginia (December 2019) – ValleyStar Credit Union commenced their annual holiday outreach campaign by presenting a $1,000 donation to the Salvation Army Martinsville VA Corps. Lieutenants Bradley and Ashley Mumford, in command of the Salvation Army of Martinsville, received the donation to assist with their holiday fundraising efforts.
“No one achieves success without the help of others,” says Lieutenant Bradly Mumford Corps Officer of The Salvation Army of Martinsville, VA. “It is also because of the generosity from partners such as ValleyStar we are able to carry forward with our mission in clothing and feeding those who find themselves in need.”
“We are proud to support the Salvation Army of Martinsville as they do a remarkable job in serving the Martinsville community,” says Delbert Lee Morgan, President/CEO. “We are also proud to launch our ‘12 Days of Giving’ for the third year in a row and how this effort impacts the many towns and communities we serve throughout southwest and central Virginia.”
The monetary donation to the Salvation Army of Martinsville kicks off ValleyStar’s “12 Days of Giving” holiday outreach campaign. This fun, company-wide giving effort will feature ValleyStar “Holiday Cheer Squad” members from all nine facilities teaming up to perform “Random Acts of Kindness” throughout the communities they serve. The ValleyStar Holiday Cheer Squad will distribute more than $4,500 to local charities, organizations, and families in need from December 2nd through December 17th.
