Martinsville, Virginia (October 2019) – ValleyStar Credit Union hosted a fundraising event on Thursday, September 19th with all ticket proceeds donated to Relay For Life of Martinsville and Henry County. The fundraising effort raised $1895 and is a part of ValleyStar’s commitment to the Martinsville/Henry County community.

“ValleyStar is passionate about the efforts of the American Cancer Society in the Southside community,” says Mickey Garland, Chief Marketing Officer of ValleyStar Credit Union. “We are fortunate to work with such an active Relay For Life organization here in Martinsville/Henry County.”

“Bringing togetherness in the surrounding communities is what this is all about. Cancer research and volunteerism brought us together, but dedication and passion are what keeps us connected,” stated Aprille Kelly, Community Development Manager for the American Cancer Society.
